A native born Californian, I graduated from Verdugo Hills High school in Tujunga CA, and Valley Jr. College in Van Nuys, CA and also attended University of Oregon where I studied art. I paint because of the feeling of joy & oneness I experience while using strokes of paint to to express my delight in the observation of our beautiful world. The astounding beauty of nature seems to becken me to paint her, as I experience the inspiration and fufillment of the creator’s gift of this world to us all.

I have always been interested in art & natural science, I was inspired to paint in my early twenties as a result of living in the splendor of Oregon’s pristine countryside. I have continued to paint with self guided study ever since, as well as learned techniques and design concepts from workshops I have taken with many talented fellow artists along the way.

The style of French impressionism has inspired me most and I studied Alla prima palette knife techniques with my mentor and friend, Lucille DeThomas who I will be forever grateful to, for her guidance and encouragement and her faith in my abilities to paint in a more colorful and expressive style. I have also studied a more representational style with another accomplished artist and friend, C.M. Cooper which expanded my artistic abilities.

I think we would all be happier if we slowed down more often and sang nature’s song with her, felt the love of our creator deep inside ourselves and in the harmony of nature all around us. It is this blissful experience that I seek to share with others thru my oil paintings.

I currently reside in Valencia,CA and work as professional graphic designer at Hi-torque Publications and in my spare time I am currently pursuing Gallery representation to market my oil paintings.
